Heat Networks
Work.
RavenNetworks is an advanced Energy Management System (EMS) built for residential heat networks. It gives clear visibility of energy use, helps cut waste, and ensures alignment with climate targets and regulatory compliance.
MYENERGIRAVEN EMS
One platform for all your consumption data
Our platform brings all your heat network consumption data together in one place, making it easy to monitor usage, identify inefficiencies, and take action that cuts costs and carbon. With advanced analytics and automated Monitoring & Targeting (aM&T), it gives organisations the insight they need to optimise entire building portfolios.
✓ Dashboards– easy customisation, you decide what you see
✓ Tracking Tools– alerts, budgets, and site comparisons
✓ Regulation Ready– HNTAS and Ofgem compliance
Applications
Accurate commissioning is fundamental to ensuring a heat network performs as designed, and Raven Networks provides the data-driven transparency required from day one. By capturing real-time flow, temperatures, and energy metrics during commissioning, you can verify that system is operating within tolerances and that the design intent is being met in practice.
A successful handover relies on clear documentation, robust data, and a shared understanding of system performance. Our monitoring platform provides a complete, evidence-based record of how the heat network has performed throughout commissioning, offering a reliable dataset for clients and operators. This transparency ensures that expectations are aligned and that the network’s operational parameters are clearly understood from day one.
Seasonal Commissioning
During the defects liability period, early detection is essential to avoid costly rework or customer‑impacting failures. Our platform continuously monitors the heat network for deviations from expected performance, enabling contractors and clients to identify issues at their source and intervene promptly, with an objective basis for discussions around responsibility and corrective action. This also supports a soft‑landings approach during initial handover, when residents begin moving in and additional monitoring is often required. For example, if a building is commissioned in summer, ongoing oversight ensures it performs correctly through the first winter; similarly, in a phased handover, continuous monitoring maintains visibility of system performance as occupancy and conditions change. RavenNetworks helps bridge the traditional gap where buildings are constructed, handed over, and simply assumed to work as intended.
Performance Based Servicing
Long-term performance and efficiency depend on continual monitoring of key performance indicators; such as return temperatures or Heat loss. Our monitoring solution provides performance data that helps operators maintain optimal flow temperatures, reduce losses, and track energy generation against targets.
Performance-based servicing is enabled through operational data, allowing maintenance activities to be prioritised based on actual system behaviour rather than fixed schedules. Faults can be anticipated before they affect residents, and inefficiencies can be addressed swiftly. This not only reduces cost and downtime but also supports regulatory compliance.
Closing the loop between design and real-world performance is critical to improving future heat network outcomes. Our monitoring platform would provide designers with accurate, high-resolution operational data that reveals how the system behaves through commissioning, handover and all the way to full occupancy. This evidence helps validate design assumptions, highlight areas where performance diverges from intent, and inform continuous improvement in future projects.
Thought & Memory. Insight that never misses.

What is a Heat Network?
Heat networks that harness waste heat and local renewable power sources can deliver cheaper, more stable heating for homes and businesses. By replacing imported gas with domestically generated heat, they strengthen UK energy security, keep more money within regional economies, and cut exposure to volatile fuel markets.
CASE STORY – IRONWORKS, MILL ROAD
Uncovering Hidden Savings
Cambridge Investment Partnership (CIP), an equal partnership between Cambridge Council and award-winning housebuilder, The Hill Group embarked on a transformative journey three years ago. Collaborating with SAV, they sought a platform that would effectively monitor energy consumption in their communal heat networks. This case story focuses on their partnership and the unexpected revelations that emerged after implementing the Raven Residential energy monitoring platform in a new build project, Ironworks, Mill Road.
BRAND STORY
We gather insight from across the energy landscape returning with that knowledge to inform better design, smarter decisions, and future-proof strategies.
Our EnergiRaven Saga
To aid Odin in his pursuit for wisdom, he was accompanied by two ravens. They were Huginn and Muninn. Every day, Odin would send Huginn and Muninn to fly all over the world, returning with information about his expansive kingdom.
Like Huginn and Muninn, EnergiRaven seeks to observe, understand, and remember.
